Custom inground concrete pool Brisbane — Cascade Pools

Inground Concrete Pools
Built for Brisbane.

Custom inground pools designed around your property and poured on-site in concrete — not fibreglass, not pre-cast. Geometric or freeform, built to last in the Queensland climate.

Cascade Pools designs and builds custom inground swimming pools for residential and commercial properties throughout Brisbane and South East Queensland. Every inground pool is constructed on-site in concrete — there are no fibreglass shells, no catalogue shapes, and no compromise on dimensions to fit a pre-existing mould.

A concrete inground pool can be any shape, any depth, and any length the site allows. Whether the brief calls for a geometric lap pool in an inner-Brisbane backyard, a freeform lagoon for a Jimboomba acreage, or a commercial beach-entry pool for a resort development, concrete construction handles it without compromise.

Jason Barry, Director, is the direct point of contact on every inground pool build — from the first site visit and written quote through to construction and handover. There is no sales layer between you and the person building the pool.

Why concrete inground pools

The Case for Concrete
Over Every Other Option

When Brisbane homeowners start researching inground pools, they quickly find three options: fibreglass, vinyl-lined, and concrete. Each has a different construction method, different limitations, and a very different end result.

Fibreglass inground pools arrive as a pre-manufactured shell. The shape, depth, and width are fixed by the mould — you choose from what's available in the catalogue, and the yard gets reshaped around the shell. For straightforward rectangular pools on flat, accessible sites, fibreglass works. For anything else, it doesn't.

Concrete inground pools are formed on site. The pool is built around the property, not the other way around. If the block is sloping, the pool accounts for that. If the design requires a 14-metre swim length, a beach entry at one end, and a spillover spa at the other, all of that is built in from the first pour. No retrofitting. No compromises dictated by a mould that doesn't exist in that configuration.

For Brisbane's climate — long summers, high UV exposure, and the humidity that comes with South East Queensland — a properly built concrete inground pool outlasts fibreglass significantly. Concrete resurfacing can be done multiple times over the pool's life. A fibreglass shell, once it degrades, has limited options.

Geometric & Concrete

Clean Lines,
Exact to the Brief

A geometric inground concrete pool is built around precision. Lap pools, rectangular plunge pools, L-shapes — all poured on-site in Brisbane to the exact dimensions the site and brief require. Depths, ledges, sun shelves, and integrated spas are designed in and built in from the start, not bolted on afterwards.

Concrete construction gives complete freedom over every dimension — the width of the sun shelf, the depth at the steps, the placement of the spa — without being constrained by whatever shell happens to be available.

Freeform & Natural

Curves That Belong
in the Landscape

A freeform inground pool is built to sit in the landscape rather than sit on top of it. Curved edges, natural stone coping, and beach-style entries let the pool follow the shape of the yard instead of the yard being reshaped around a straight-edged design. Every curve is formed and finished by hand — there is no mould, no shortcut.

Freeform doesn't mean less considered. Integrated spas, rock features, and lagoon-style shallow zones all need the same engineering rigour as any other inground pool — the difference is in how the finished shape reads against the Brisbane garden around it.

Common questions

Inground Pool Questions
from Brisbane Homeowners

Concrete is the best material for a custom inground pool in Brisbane. It can be formed into any shape, any depth, and any length the site requires. Fibreglass inground pools are limited to fixed mould sizes and shapes. Concrete inground pools can be resurfaced and renovated repeatedly, making them the most durable long-term investment for Brisbane homeowners.

The cost of an inground concrete pool in Brisbane depends on size, shape, site conditions, and finishes. Cascade Pools provides a detailed written quote after a free site visit — everything foreseeable is itemised upfront with no hidden costs. Call Jason on 0427 459 830.

A typical residential inground concrete pool takes 8 to 16 weeks from design approval to completion. Cascade Pools provides a project schedule at the start of each build and sticks to it.

A concrete inground pool is built on site to any shape and depth you choose. A fibreglass pool is a pre-made shell dropped into an excavated hole. Cascade builds exclusively in concrete for this reason.
